Special Education Technician School / Centre / Department : Francis Elementary School Monday to Friday, 11:30 am to 3:30 pm School principal The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in working with a multidisciplinary team to apply special education techniques and methods in keeping with an individualized education plan intended for handicapped students or students with social maladjustments or learning difficulties or in keeping with a program designed for students requiring specific support Under the responsibility of the school principal and in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, participates in the development and drafting of the intervention plan

- Develops, organizes and leads educational, pedagogical, cultural,



recreational and sports activities aimed at developing social, cognitive, psychomotor, communication and other skills
- Uses communication techniques adapted to students' needs
- Collaborates, as needed, with youth protection agencies and other external stakeholders
- Meets with students, parents and teaching staff to advise, inform and provide relevant documentation and references
- Schooling Hold a Diploma of College Studies inSpecial Care Counselling, or a diploma or attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.
