About the Role

Brick House Recovery Centre is seeking an experienced Research Assistant to support the evaluation of our mental health, addiction and gambling program.

The Research Assistant will work with clinical, operational, and leadership teams to evaluate program implementation, service access, treatment engagement, client outcomes, client experience, and provincial reach. The role will support ongoing quality improvement and the preparation of an interim evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and refine the program evaluation and measurement framework.
- Monitor and analyze monthly and quarterly performance indicators.
- Evaluate service access, referrals, treatment engagement, completion, aftercare, and recovery coaching utilization.
- Analyze client outcomes, including gambling-related harms, recovery, functioning, and client experience.
- Assess provincial reach and accessibility, including services to rural and remote Albertans.
- Review demographic and utilization data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development of outcome, discharge, follow-up, and client experience measures.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Prepare an interim evaluation report for project funders and stakeholders.
- Present key findings and recommendations to Brick House Recovery Centre leadership.

Qualifications The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Program Evaluation, Public Health, Psychology, Social Sciences, Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience conducting program evaluations, preferably within healthcare, mental health, addictions, gambling treatment, or social services.
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods, performance measurement, and quality improvement.
- Solid data analysis, interpretation, and report-writing skills.
- Experience working with clinical, administrative, and client-reported outcome data.
- Ability to translate findings into clear recommendations for operational and government audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Experience evaluating government-funded programs or working within gambling, behavioural addictions, mental health, substance use, or Alberta's health and social service system is considered an asset.

Pay: $36,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
