Enjoy working with people and serving Indian street food? Desi Chaapwala is hiring a Restaurant Cashier / Counter Attendant for our Etobicoke restaurant.

We’re looking for someone friendly, dependable and organized who can welcome customers, take accurate orders and keep service running smoothly.

What you’ll do

- Greet customers, explain menu items and answer questions.
- Take dine-in, takeout and phone orders accurately.
- Process cash, debit and credit card payments using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Pack takeaway and delivery orders, checking items before handing them over.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and delivery drivers.
- Keep the counter, dining area and service stations clean and stocked.
- Follow food safety procedures and communicate customer allergy requests to the kitchen.
- Assist with opening, closing and cash reconciliation as assigned.

What we’re looking for




- Friendly communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail when handling orders and payments.
- Ability to stay organized during busy service periods.
- Reliable attendance and availability for the advertised shifts.
- Ability to commute reliably to our Etobicoke location.
- Restaurant, cashier, retail or food-service experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with Indian street food is helpful.
