Responsibility

- Wash and sanitize dishes , glassware,utensils , pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment or by hand
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, kitchen floors and trash areas
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned, sanitized and stored properly
- Assist kitchen staff with basic prep or cleaning tasks as needed
- Empty garbage cans and transport waste to the disposal area in compliance with health and safety standards




- Restock clean dishes and utensils to appopriate areas
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures as directed by management

Qualifications

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Previous experience a restaurant or commercial kitchen is an asset but not required
- Must be reliable and punctual

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift upto 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a hot , humid kitchen environment
- Frequent standing , bending and reaching
