Lead from the floor and work alongside your team to build quality conveyor components you can be proud of. Rolmaster Conveyors is looking for a hands-on Roller Department Team Leader to guide our team and keep production running safely and efficiently.

This is a full-time, permanent, day-shift position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Schedule

- Day Shift, Monday to Friday
- 42 hours per week: Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (Half hour unpaid lunch); Friday: 7:00 am to 11:00 am
- Overtime paid after 42 hours
- Location is on a bus route

Position Overview The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and supporting employees in the Roller Department. This includes assigning work, providing clear direction, supporting employees, and ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and according to Rolmaster’s quality and production standards. The successful candidate will recognize the contributions of each team member,



encourage teamwork, support the sharing of ideas, and help maintain positive working relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to Roller Department employees.
- Schedule and assign work to ensure production timelines are met.
- Give employees clear instructions and explain the procedures required to complete assigned work.
- Monitor production and help employees meet productivity and quality standards.
- Perform first-off inspections to confirm that products match the work order and meet quality requirements.
- Support and motivate employees to perform their work safely and effectively.
- Monitor employees’ work and ensure Rolmaster’s procedures, safety requirements, and operating standards are followed.
- Identify and help resolve production, quality, workflow, and employee concerns.
- Encourage teamwork, communication, continuous improvement, and a respectful workplace.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least one year of team leadership experience.
- At least one year of experience with Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, support, and provide direction to employees.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities and use employees and resources effectively.
- Ability to solve problems and make appropriate decisions in a fast-paced production workplace.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices.
- Ability to understand and follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people from different backgrounds.




- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
- At least one year of metal manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Overhead crane certification is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
- Able to push and pull a minimum of 100 lbs
- Proficient with hand and wrist movement and grasping objects
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Able to operate machinery and foot controls
- Able to pass mandatory Health and Safety testing
- Able to read an Imperial tape measure
- Must supply own CSA-approved steel toe boots (minimum 6" from floor to top side)
