We are seeking a passionate and experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Lead to champion safety excellence and environmental stewardship at our 3 locations (Lively, Timmins and Malartic). Reporting to the Director of Sales, Eastern Canada (Site Manager), the HSE Lead is responsible for implementing and sustaining programs, systems, and initiatives that promote secure and sustainable work practices while ensuring compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety legislation and Weir standards. This role plays a key part in advancing our Zero Harm culture by partnering closely with leaders and employees to drive continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Support the deployment and execution of Weir's HSE strategy across the Ontario and Quebec region, with a primary focus on the Lively, Ontario site. Partner with site leadership to strengthen HSE performance and accountability at all levels of the organization. Lead initiatives that support and embed Weir's Zero Harm culture and behavioral safety framework.
Coach and influence leaders, supervisors, and employees to achieve HSE objectives and performance goals. Analyze HSE performance metrics, identify trends, and develop recommendations to improve safety outcomes. Prepare and communicate monthly HSE reports, corrective action plans, and performance updates.
Lead site assessments, audits, inspections, and risk mitigation activities to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Lead and support incident investigations utilizing root cause analysis methodologies such as ICAM and ensure appropriate corrective and preventative actions are implemented and sustained. Maintain compliance with applicable environmental, health,
and safety legislation, standards, and company requirements.
Foster employee engagement and participation in HSE programs and initiatives. Lead and develop one direct report while helping build HSE capability across the site through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing with leaders and employees Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Experience leading health, safety, and environmental initiatives within a manufacturing, industrial, mining, or operations environment. Strong understanding of occupational health and safety principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Experience conducting workplace incident investigations using structured root cause analysis methodologies. ICAM training and experience are considered a strong asset.
Experience driving continuous improvement and culture change initiatives. Post-secondary education or professional training in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline. CRSP designation or progress toward designation is considered an asset.
Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset. Strong partnership with site leaders and employees. Improved safety performance and employee engagement. Effective implementation of Weir's Zero Harm initiatives.
