Kris Atelier is a growing beauty and lifestyle brand committed to delivering a premium client experience, professional beauty services, and high standards of service, presentation and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced, organized and commercially minded independent Salon Manager service provider to support the day-to-day operation, team coordination and commercial performance of our Brampton salon.
The Role
This is a hands-on independent contractor engagement for an experienced salon operations professional who can coordinate day-to-day service delivery, support the salon team, maintain strong operating controls, resolve client and operational issues professionally, and contribute to sustainable revenue growth. The engagement will be governed by a written independent contractor services agreement and agreed service deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily salon operations and maintain smooth opening, service and closing procedures.
- Coordinate day-to-day salon team activities, service flow and operational coverage within the authority delegated by Kris Atelier management.
- Prepare and coordinate proposed staff/service coverage schedules for management approval and support appropriate operational coverage during business hours.
- Monitor service readiness, operational coverage and workplace standards; promptly refer employee-relations, discipline, accommodation or employment-status matters to HR/management.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation and operational integration of salon team members as requested by management, while employment decisions remain with Kris Atelier.
- Maintain a professional, respectful, client-focused work environment.
- Monitor appointment flow, booking utilization, cancellations, no-shows and service capacity.
- Ensure excellent client service from arrival through consultation, service completion and follow-up.
- Handle client concerns and complaints professionally and escalate serious matters when required.
- Monitor salon revenue, bookings, retail performance, client retention and other approved KPIs.
- Support promotions, packages, campaigns, events and client-retention initiatives in coordination with marketing and management.
- Monitor inventory, ordering, stock control, product waste and unauthorized use.
- Oversee POS transactions, discounts,
refunds and other salon financial controls in accordance with Company procedures.
- Maintain accurate operational records and provide management with clear updates on staffing, sales, client concerns and business risks.
- Ensure salon areas, workstations, equipment and client spaces remain clean, organized and professional.
- Ensure staff follow applicable hygiene, sanitation, infection-prevention, health-and-safety and emergency requirements.
- Identify equipment, maintenance, facility or vendor issues and ensure timely follow-up.

Qualifications
- Approximately 3+ years of relevant salon, spa, beauty, retail or service-management experience, or equivalent demonstrated management capability.
- Previous experience coordinating, supervising or leading employees, contractors or service professionals.
- Strong understanding of customer service and client-experience management.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate service coverage, priorities, workflows and daily salon operations.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Comfort working with sales targets, KPIs and performance reporting.
- Basic understanding of inventory management, purchasing and financial controls.
- Proficiency with booking systems, POS systems and standard office technology.
- Ability to provide agreed in office services at the Brampton salon during mutually confirmed service periods, including evenings and/or weekends where commercially required.
- Applicants must be legally entitled to provide services in Canada.
Preferred Assets
- Previous management experience in a hair salon, beauty salon, spa, medical aesthetics clinic or luxury service environment.
- Knowledge of hair, nail, esthetics or beauty-service operations.
- Experience with salon booking/POS systems and retail beauty-product sales.
- Experience with inventory control, purchasing and staff scheduling.
- Experience supporting local marketing, promotions or social-media initiatives.
- Familiarity with workplace health and safety, sanitation and infection-prevention practices.
- Experience opening, growing or improving the performance of a salon or service location.
Independent Contractor Profile The successful service provider will be professional, dependable, client-focused, organized, commercially aware and capable of coordinating people and operations respectfully. The engagement requires sound judgment, proactive communication, independent problem-solving and the ability to balance service quality with business performance.
Service Availability & Location
This is an independent contractor service engagement based primarily at the Kris Atelier salon in Brampton. The selected contractor will agree service availability, on-site coverage periods, meetings and deliverables with Kris Atelier based on operational needs. The final service model, fees, invoicing cycle, scope, availability expectations and other commercial terms will be documented in the independent contractor services agreement.
Independent Contractor Business Requirements
- Ability to invoice Kris Atelier according to the agreed billing cycle and commercial terms.
- Responsibility for the contractor's own business administration, income taxes, CPP obligations applicable to self-employed persons and GST/HST registration/remittance where legally required.
- Ability to maintain appropriate business/professional insurance where reasonably required for the agreed service scope.
- Freedom to provide services to other clients, subject to confidentiality, conflicts of interest and accepted Kris Atelier commitments.
- Responsibility for ordinary business tools and expenses except where Kris Atelier provides specific premises, systems, equipment or resources for operational reasons.
- Commitment to protect Kris Atelier confidential information, client information, systems, brand assets and business records.
