Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules across all phases of project execution. This role ensures schedules are accurate, up to date, and aligned with project objectives and milestones.
Key responsibilities include adjusting schedules as required, preparing look-ahead schedules, and collaborating with project teams on budgeting, forecasting, and change management. The Scheduler/Planner plays a key role in identifying potential schedule impacts and supporting the successful and timely delivery of projects.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships internally and externally and with clients regarding scheduling on project schedule.
- Leading reporting of progress, and delays to schedule.
- Manage schedule updates in accordance with budget and resources.
- Assess risks and upkeep risk register according to labor activity.
- Work with subtrades and field staff for input into the project schedule and look-ahead.
- Identify and assess quality risks to the schedule and project.
- Review subcontract schedule status and provide leadership with input on subcontract performance.
- Support on implementing project schedule changes.
- Provide schedule updates as per any change managements or additions.
- Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any deviation from master schedule.
- Working with various disciplines to ensure schedule is comprehensive and built out in a thorough manner.
- Verify quality standards are met.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction scheduling within large-scale infrastructure, heavy civil, or transit projects.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Scheduler or Planner in the construction industry.
- Proficiency with scheduling and project management tools, including Microsoft Excel and Primavera P6.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and project requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt, pivot, and adjust schedules in response to evolving project conditions and priorities.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and project management principles.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Construction industry experience, combined with a strong understanding of heavy civil or transit infrastructure projects, is highly preferred.
