Join the Schulich School of Engineering as a full time Studio Technician dedicated to enhancing experiential learning. This position offers an opportunity to make an impact on first-year engineering courses. For approximately 8 months, this role supports experiential learning through technical assistance in laboratory environments.
Work closely with the Education Manager, ensuring lab sessions are well-prepared and that all equipment meets learning requirements. You'll play a critical role in maintaining safety and functionality in the labs. Key Responsibilities:
- Support first-year course lab sessions and practical experiments
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures for labs
- Order, inventory, and manage lab materials and equipment
- Collaborate with technical services for equipment maintenance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Requirements:
- Engineering undergraduate degree necessary
- Relevant technical support experience preferred
- Certification in First Aid required
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving Be the vital link in delivering effective lab experiences for first-year students at Schulich.
