Job Overview

Mountain Eagle Security is seeking reliable, professional, and observant individuals to join our team as Casual Security Officers.

Casual Security Officers play an important role in maintaining safe, secure, and welcoming environments for our clients, their employees, visitors, and the public. Duties may vary depending on the assignment and can include site monitoring, access control, patrols, incident response, and general security support.

This position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to gain valuable experience across a variety of security environments. Successful candidates will demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing dependable, professional service.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include:

- Monitoring premises and, where applicable, CCTV and other security systems.
- Controlling access points and verifying the identification of employees, visitors, contractors, and other authorized individuals.
- Conducting regular foot or vehicle patrols to identify and report safety concerns, security risks, or unusual activity.
- Responding appropriately to alarms, incidents, disturbances, and suspicious activity.
- Supporting loss-prevention efforts by identifying and reporting suspected theft, vandalism, property damage, or other concerns.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed daily activity logs, incident reports, and access records.
- Following client-specific procedures, company policies, and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Communicating professionally with clients, members of the public, coworkers, and emergency responders when required.
- Performing other security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience The ideal candidate will have:





- A valid British Columbia Security Worker Licence.
- Previous security, law enforcement, military, customer service, or related experience is considered an asset.
- Strong observation and situational-awareness skills.
- The ability to remain calm, professional, and composed in challenging situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to attend assigned shifts punctually.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, access-control procedures, or security reporting platforms is an asset.
- Additional security-related training or certifications are considered an asset.

Pay: From $18.25 per hour
