Senior Credit Analyst

Location: Waterloo, ON

Work Model: Fully onsite

Contract: 6 months+, with possible extension

OpenText is looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to support its global B2B credit operations. This role will be responsible for assessing customer creditworthiness, managing credit risk, supporting cash collection, and partnering closely with Sales and other business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze customer financial statements, credit profiles, and account performance to assess credit risk.
- Review and approve credit requests, payment terms, and credit limit changes within established policies and SLAs.
- Partner with Sales and internal stakeholders to resolve credit issues and recommend appropriate alternatives.
- Monitor customer accounts and identify emerging credit and collection risks.
- Support acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic credit initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve credit granting, risk assessment, and collections processes.
- Contribute to standardization, process improvement,



and change management initiatives across global credit operations.

Required Experience

- 5+ years of progressive experience in B2B commercial credit, credit risk, or corporate credit analysis.
- Strong experience analyzing financial statements and assessing customer creditworthiness.
- Experience reviewing payment terms, credit limits, and credit requests.
- Experience working with Sales, Finance, Collections, and other business stakeholders.
- Experience in a global software, technology, SaaS, or high tech organization is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and Salesforce.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Robust process improvement and change management mindset.
- CCP or accounting designation is an asset.
- Bilingual capability is an asset.
