Data Quality Analyst – Advanced

Location: Toronto, ON – 4 days onsite

Duration: 12 months, with likely extension

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Interview: 2 rounds, in person The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Quality Analyst to support data governance, metadata management and data quality initiatives within a Capital Markets workplace.

This role combines project delivery and application support, with a focus on identifying and resolving complex data issues, gathering business requirements and implementing effective Data Quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Support Data Governance, Metadata and Data Quality initiatives.
- Analyze complex data issues and identify appropriate solutions.
- Gather and document business and Data Quality requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize and implement DQ requirements.
- Identify, investigate and resolve data quality issues and discrepancies.
- Represent business interests in data-related initiatives and issue resolution.
- Coordinate and lead Data Quality activities supporting business objectives.
- Perform data analysis using SQL and Python.




- Support adoption of Data Governance and Data Quality standards and practices.
- Mentor and support other team members.

Must-Have Skills
- Strong Data Quality and Data Governance experience.
- Capital Markets business knowledge combined with strong technical/IT skills.
- Hands-on SQL and Python experience.
- Strong knowledge of banking/financial data and data governance principles.
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Commerce or related discipline.
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking and adaptability.
