About CCL

Colourific Coatings Ltd. (CCL) is a leading powder coating manufacturer operating two production facilities in the Greater Toronto Area. We serve customers across the construction, architectural, and industrial sectors. We are in a period of growth and capital investment, including the expansion of our Milani facility. As we continue to grow, we are building out our finance function to support the next phase of the business.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Senior Financial Analyst will support financial planning and analysis (FP&A;), management reporting, and the day-to-day accounting, reconciliation, and compliance activities that underpin it. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and broad scope across the finance function.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the monthly and year-end close, weekly cash forecasting, budgeting cycle and compliance filings, while also helping build out our data analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

FP&A; and Management Reporting

- Prepare monthly management reporting packages, including P&L;, cash flow, and KPI dashboards
- Support annual budgeting and quarterly reforecast cycles, including variance analysis
- Develop external stakeholder financial reporting materials in collaboration with the CFO

Accounting, Close, and Compliance

- Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and capital asset and depreciation entries
- Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations, including bank, inventory, prepaid, and accruals, and carry reconciling items through to resolution
- Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations and support the physical counts with operations
- Coordinate with the external bookkeeper on journal entry posting and month-end close, and own the close calendar
- Prepare monthly financial statements, and review results for accuracy, completeness, and consistency against expectations
- Support maintenance of the capital asset register, so that asset costs are capitalized, classified, and depreciated correctly
- Support the preparation and filing of HST and other indirect tax returns
- Monitor AP and AR aging, and support collections and payment prioritization
- Support cost accounting, including standard versus actual costing, and gross margin analysis




- Support the year-end close and assist with preparation of financial information for our external accountants review
- Assist with corporate tax preparation materials, government incentive and grant claims, and lender reporting, in coordination with the CFO and external advisors
- Strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls, and document key processes
- Provide day-to-day support and guidance to the AP and AR administrative staff

Data and Analytics

- Build and maintain dashboards and ad hoc analyses drawing from our ERP (Onramp), QuickBooks Online, and operational data sources
- Identify opportunities to automate finance and accounting tasks
- Partner with Operations on productivity and cost analysis

Qualifications:

Required

- Bachelor's degree in; Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- One to four years of relevant experience in FP&A;, public accounting, corporate finance, or a related analytical finance role
- Advanced Excel skills, including structured model design
- Solid grounding in accounting fundamentals: trial balance, journal entries, accruals, and the ability to build and critically review account reconciliations
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle month-end and year-end close
- Exposure to indirect tax compliance filings (HST or provincial equivalents)
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to summarize analysis for non-finance audiences
- Self-directed, comfortable working in a small finance team with broad scope and minimal hierarchy
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Preferred

- CPA designation or PEP candidate in progress, or internationally credentialed accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA-equivalent) pursuing CPA Canada equivalency
- Experience in manufacturing, inventory-heavy industries, or other businesses with cost accounting complexity
- Experience with capital asset accounting




- Experience supporting government incentive or grant claims (SR&ED;, provincial funding programs)
- Exposure to ERP systems (Onramp preferred)
- Familiarity with Power Query, Power BI, SQL, or other data analysis tools, or demonstrated aptitude and interest in building those skills
- Experience supporting external audits under ASPE or IFRS
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online

Working Conditions

- Hybrid work arrangement with in office presence required at our facilities for operational engagement
- Standard office hours are Monday through Friday; additional hours may occasionally be required to meet business deadlines
- Travel between company locations may be required
