Become an integral part of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. Lead a dedicated team in managing erosion hazard risks and ensure community safety through expert analysis and review. In this senior role, you will act as a subject expert in Geoenvironmental Services, overseeing a team that includes hydrogeologists and geotechnical engineers.
Your focus will be on conducting risk assessments for slope stability hazards and reviewing applications under TRCA’s regulatory framework. You will communicate effectively with various stakeholders and facilitate the technical review process, ensuring all projects meet necessary standards and policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Review reports and designs to determine geotechnical scope
- Support planners in setting development limits and site visits
- Prepare guidelines for consistency in review processes
- Communicate project requirements with technical teams
- Participate in Ontario Land Tribunal hearings as needed Requirements:
- University degree in Civil Engineering or related
- Licensed Skilled Engineer in Ontario
- 5+ years in geotechnical engineering roles
- 2+ years in managerial or project management positions
- Proficient in geotechnical software and MS Office suite Drive the safety and sustainability efforts of TRCA through expert geotechnical oversight and leadership.
