Job Title:
Senior Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist (Level 3)
Location:
National Capital Region (NCR) – Ottawa & Gatineau (On-Site)
Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist (Level 3) to support a Federal Government client on a 2-year contract .
⚠️ An active Government of Canada SECRET clearance is mandatory.
This role will support major defence modernization initiatives through the development of Sustainment Business Case Analyses (SBCA) and sustainment planning activities for complex military capabilities and equipment programs.
The successful resource will work alongside project managers, business analysts, financial specialists, procurement specialists, and government stakeholders to support long-term sustainment strategies and logistics support solutions.
Project Background
This initiative supports the development of Sustainment Business Case Analyses used to inform:
- Long-term sustainment strategies
- Integrated logistics support approaches
- Lifecycle support planning
- Costing and affordability analysis
- Procurement and contracting approaches
- Risk analysis and mitigation strategies
- Executive-level decision making
The work supports major Canadian defence modernization programs, including land-based military capabilities and associated sustainment planning activities. Work Location & Conditions The Contractor's resource will:
- Work primarily on-site at Federal Government facilities within the National Capital Region (NCR)
- Be available on-site up to five (5) days per week
- Work within a secure defence setting
- Support initiatives involving classified information and Controlled Goods
- Collaborate closely with defence stakeholders and project teams
Work may be performed at government facilities in both Ottawa and Gatineau.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) expertise to sustainment planning initiatives
- Support the development of Sustainment Business Case Analyses (SBCA)
- Develop and maintain sustainment-related documentation and logistics support deliverables
- Work with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure supportability requirements are incorporated into planning activities
- Contribute to maintenance planning, supply support, training support, and technical documentation activities
- Participate in logistics analysis and sustainment option development
- Support lifecycle management and long-term supportability planning
- Develop recommendations and briefing materials for government stakeholders
Typical deliverables may include sustainment plans, supportability analyses, lifecycle support documentation, cost assumptions, and sustainment strategy recommendations.
Mandatory Requirements
MT.1 – Integrated Logistics Support Experience
Must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) supporting:
- Sustainment Planning projects; and/or
- Business Case Analysis (BCA) projects.
MT.2 – Sustainment Documentation Experience Must demonstrate experience developing documentation for at least two (2) Sustainment Planning or Business Case Analysis (BCA) projects.
Ideal Backgrounds
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be highly relevant:
- Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
- Lifecycle Materiel Management (LCMM)
- Sustainment Planning
- Logistics Support Analysis (LSA)
- In-Service Support (ISS)
- Defence Procurement
- Reliability, Maintainability & Supportability (RMS)
- Fleet or Equipment Sustainment
- Military or Defence Programs
- Aerospace, Naval, Land Systems, or Complex Capital Equipment Programs
Education & Experience Requirements
- University degree (undergraduate, graduate, or PhD) OR
- College / CEGEP diploma or certificate
- Relevant logistics, engineering, defence, or supportability certifications are considered assets
Security Requirements
- Active Government of Canada SECRET Clearance
- Ability to work on-site within secure Government facilities
- Eligibility to work in a Controlled Goods environment
