We are hiring a Senior Methods Engineer!

Are you a precision-driven engineering skilled with a passion for aerospace manufacturing? We are looking for a full-time Senior Methods Engineer to join our team. Working within our Engineering department, you will collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and external customers to design tooling, optimize shop floor processes, and ensure our products meet strict aerospace standards.

Your role will be responsible for:

- Developing structure specifications: Identify and develop structure specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements, applicable standards, regulations, and costing models.
- Delivering work order packages: Deliver accurate and complete work order packages to the shop floor, including files for the CNC router, tool lists, estimated cycle times, set-up instructions, stage drawings, and in-process inspection plans.
- Designing tooling & 3D models: Design and implement tooling, sheet forming blocks, and 3D modeling using CATIA V5.
- Overseeing processing operations: Manage processing operations including heat treatment of aluminum alloys, aircraft steels, MPI, FPI, cadmium plating, IVD, and primer/topcoat applications.
- Guiding process flow: Apply solid knowledge of sheet metal operations to make critical decisions regarding the workflow and fabrication processes.
- Providing technical support: Act as a technical resource, providing hands-on engineering support to technicians and internal departments.
- Driving continuous improvement: Understand and apply lean principles to eliminate waste and support continuous improvement throughout the facility.

What you need to succeed in this role:

- Experience: 5+ years of related work experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment, including manufacturing process planning, preparing work instructions, and tooling design.
- Technical skills: Proficient in reading blueprints, strong GD&T; knowledge,



and hands-on experience calculating allowances and tolerances for fits.
- Software expertise: High proficiency in CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and tool design is strictly required.
- Industry expertise: Deep understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, metals/machining, or heavy industrial assembly environments.
- Standards & specifications: Working experience in an AS9100 environment with familiarity in material specifications (AMS, ASTM, MIL) and OEM specifications (Bombardier BAPS, De Havilland PPS, etc.).
- Education: College Technical Degree or a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
- Core strengths: Strong teamwork, interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and meet structural challenges.

- Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities, particularly relevant in managing customer concerns and technical discrepancies.
