About the Opportunity

Two high-producing brokers within BRX Mortgage are looking for one-to-two experienced Senior Mortgage Underwriters to support both businesses. Our systems, processes, and client experience standards are the same across both, making this one cohesive operation.

This is a great fit for an experienced underwriter who wants a focused, secure book of business and competitive compensation, without the noise of a large team environment. We handle client intake. You take files from there through to broker complete.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage mortgage files from post-intake through to broker complete using the BRM model
- Underwrite and structure A, alt-A, and private mortgage files
- Package and submit files to lenders via Finmo
- Manage lender conditions and documentation through to funding
- Communicate professionally with clients, lenders, lawyers, and referral partners
- Keep files organized and compliant within MyBrokerPro and Google Workspace

What You Bring
- 5 or more years of broker or lender-side mortgage underwriting experience
- Strong knowledge of A, alternative, and private lending guidelines
- Confident deal structuring skills and sound underwriting judgment




- Great written and verbal communication — clients notice and appreciate how you stay in touch
- Detail-oriented and process-driven, comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Methodical and consistent, with a solutions-focused approach to complex files

Licensing An active Alberta or BC mortgage license is preferred. We are open to supporting the right candidate through the licensing process.

Location and Schedule

Calgary preferred. Fully remote is welcome. In-office space is available if you prefer a hybrid setup.

Monday to Friday, standard lender hours.

Compensation

Competitive base salary based on experience, plus a fixed per-file bonus paid monthly.
