Our client, a major institutional Asset Manager , is undergoing a project to improve, automate, and enhance its management and investment reporting. They are looking for a Power BI Developer / Report Writer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract , with strong potential for extension based on project and ongoing reporting requirements.

? 3-Month Contract | Potential Extension The successful candidate will develop, enhance, and automate management, investment, and private markets reporting using Power BI and Microsoft Copilot .

You will work with data from multiple financial and operational sources, transforming complex investment data into accurate, meaningful reports and dashboards. The role will involve partnering closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, develop solutions, validate data, and identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and reporting solutions supporting management and investment reporting.
- Create and optimize DAX measures, calculations, and data models .
- Design and maintain Power BI semantic models , including star-schema-based models.
- Extract, transform, validate, and reconcile data from multiple financial and operational sources.
- Develop reporting solutions that provide accurate and actionable insights to business and investment teams.
- Work with stakeholders to understand business and reporting requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, UAT, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Use Python and SQL for data extraction, analysis, transformation, validation, and automation.
- Leverage Microsoft Copilot and other AI capabilities to improve report development, data analysis, documentation, and reporting processes.




- Troubleshoot reporting and data issues and work with technical and business teams to resolve them.
- Help establish appropriate controls and validation processes to ensure the ongoing accuracy and integrity of reports.

Qualifications:

- 4+ years of hands-on Power BI development and reporting experience.
- Robust experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports , including advanced DAX .
- Experience designing and maintaining semantic/data models .
- Strong SQL skills and experience using Python for data analysis, transformation, validation, or automation.
- Experience working with multiple data sources and performing data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and validation.
- Experience with UAT, data migration, data quality, and reporting controls .
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot or other AI-assisted reporting/data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of Private Equity, Private Markets, Asset Management, Infrastructure Investments, or a similar investment environment .
- Practical understanding of investment and fund concepts such as management fees, carried interest/carry, fund structures, investment performance, AUM, commitments, capital calls, distributions, and NAV is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business, investment, and technology stakeholders .

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong Power BI/reporting expertise and hands-on experience within Asset Management, Private Equity, Private Markets, Infrastructure, or a similar investment environment .

Candidates who can understand the business terminology and investment reporting requirements without extensive training, while also having the technical ability to build and automate reporting solutions, will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
