Permanent Senior Development Accountant Salary: $90,000–$95,000 base salary + 10% bonus + benefits Toronto, ON – 4 days in office We are hiring on behalf of our client, a well-established real estate development and asset management organization with a diversified portfolio across residential and commercial assets, along with an active pipeline of development projects in the GTA. Our client is seeking a Senior Development Accountant to support the accounting and financial management of several active development projects.

This role works closely with the finance and development teams and will support projects through the full lifecycle, from acquisition and pre‑construction through construction and stabilization. The portfolio includes a mix of residential and commercial projects, offering strong exposure to the operational and financial side of real estate development.



Prepare and submit construction loan draws Track development costs, capitalized interest, and project funding activity Monitor development budgets against actual spending and investigate variances Review work from outsourced property accountants and ensure accuracy of reporting Assist with forecasting, project cash flow tracking, and financial analysis Support ongoing project reporting and ad hoc development finance requirements 2+ years of development accounting experience ~ Robust understanding of development project accounting and project cost tracking ~ Experience with construction loan draws, development budgets, and project reporting ~ Must be comfortable working in office four days per week Join a stable, well-established real estate platform with a diversified commercial and residential portfolio Exposure to large-scale development projects across multiple asset classes Work closely with senior development and finance leadership Strong opportunity for career growth within development accounting #
