Senior Project Manager

On behalf of our insurance client, Procom is searching for a Senior Project Manager for a permanent full-time role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Waterloo office.

Senior Project Manager - :

The Senior Project Manager will oversee cross-departmental business and ITS-related projects in a diverse portfolio. The role involves managing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring alignment with business priorities and organizational goals.

Senior Project Manager - Responsibilities:

- Manage project scope, schedule, quality, budget, resources, and communication plans.

- Lead project meetings and oversee governance and dependency management.

- Identify, assess, document, and monitor project risks.

- Develop and escalate risk mitigation strategies.

- Provide regular project updates through governance forums.

- Manage change and competing demands, communicating adjustments to stakeholders.

- Build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders and vendors.

- Manage and coordinate external vendors to meet deliverables and timelines.

- Champion organizational change and support new processes adoption.





- Monitor project financials, including forecasts, budgets, and variances.

Senior Project Manager - Mandatory Skills:

- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in insurance or financial services.

- University degree in a related field.

- Experience leading Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid projects.

- Proven experience managing budgets, customer expectations, and risks.

- Strong facilitation skills for workshops and planning sessions.

- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and rapid changes.

- Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Senior Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:

- PMP and Agile certification.

- Health and dental claims experience.

- Experience in environments with early-stage project processes.

- Positive attitude and strong customer service orientation.

- Problem-solving abilities.

Senior Project Manager – Assignment Length:

This is a permanent position.

Senior Project Manager - Start Date:

ASAP.

Senior Project Manager - Assignment Location:

Hybrid with bi-monthly in-office presence in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
