Role Summary:

Our Mississauga branch is currently looking for an experienced Senior Security Systems Technician to join the team who can take responsibility for security installation projects from start to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and coordination of electronic security systems, while working closely with project managers, customers, electricians, consultants, and other trades. If you are an experienced security professional who enjoys taking ownership of projects, solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and leading installations from beginning to end, we would like to hear from you.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Lead and coordinate security system installations from project start through completion.
- Install, program, test, troubleshoot, and commission electronic security systems.
- Work with access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm, intercom, and related security systems.
- Review project drawings, specifications, riser diagrams, wiring diagrams, and equipment schedules.
- Coordinate site activities with project managers, customers, electricians, and other trades.




- Identify and resolve technical and installation issues in a timely manner.
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and final verification.
- Provide professional customer training on the proper operation and use of installed systems.
- Prepare and maintain accurate service reports, commissioning documentation, as-builts, deficiency lists, and other project documentation.
- Maintain a high level of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
- Ensure installations are completed in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable standards.
- Assist with project planning, material requirements, and technical coordination when required.
- Provide technical leadership and support to other technicians on site.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

- Post-secondary education/certification/diploma preferably in Electronic Technician Certificate/Diploma or Computer Networking Courses.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a security systems technician preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, technical and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and understand security drawings, specifications, wiring diagrams, and risers.
- Experience with network-connected security systems is an asset.
- Ability to lead technicians and coordinate site activities.
- Must have a valid Class G driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience with several of the following systems is preferred:
- Intrusion/Alarm Systems (DSC, Honeywell, Other commercial security alarm systems)
- CCTV/Video Management (Genetec, Milestone)
- Access Control (Software House/CCURE, Genetec Synergis, Avigilon, RBH)
- Intercom (Hearding, Aiphone)

· Salary Range: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
