Metro Testing + Engineering is hiring a dispatcher for our Burnaby office. The environment is fast pace and dynamic during the peak construction season. The person will be the first contact between our clients and our operations team

Who we are:

Metro Testing + Engineering (Metro) is one of the busiest materials testing companies in Western Canada. Our technicians provide the materials testing of concrete, asphalt, and soils for the construction industry.

What you will be getting

What you will be doing

· Responding to customer’s request for service and review the request before creating a job order

· Provide all job related information to our service department on a timely basis

· Provide update to our service department and customers if required

What you need to have

- Strong English oral / written / interpersonal communication skills.




- 2 years of over the phone customer service experience
- Experience with the construction industry is an asset
- Have a sense of urgency
- Detail oriented and experience in multi-tasking and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Experience with MS Office and other Windows based applications
- Tactful and professional interaction with peers, drivers, clients and other staff
- Friendly, positive attitude, and solid customer service orientation
- Degree of flexibility with work hours, including possible evenings and weekends during peak construction season
