Work arrangement : Initial 3 months- 5 days onsite, after that 3 days onsite 2 days remote

We are looking for a Securities Settlement professional to join a capital markets operations team supporting U.S. securities and post-trade activities .
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in securities settlements, back-office operations, or capital markets operations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, problem-solving and meeting deadlines are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and process securities transactions through the settlement lifecycle
- Handle trade confirmations and settlement follow-up
- Support settlement activities involving U.S. securities and Fedwire
- Reconcile cash and securities positions and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor settlement deadlines, priorities and outstanding transactions
- Investigate and resolve settlement breaks, exceptions and unmatched transactions
- Coordinate with internal teams including Front Office, Middle Office, Finance and Treasury
- Communicate with clients, brokers and other counterparties as required
- Support cash, collateral and funding-related operational activities
- Prepare and review operational reports
- Contribute to process improvements, automation and operational efficiency
- Maintain a strong control mindset in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
Products / Markets Experience with one or more of the following is valuable:
- U.S. Government Securities / Treasuries
- Fixed Income / Corporate Bonds
- Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS)
- Asset-Backed Securities (ABS)
- Equities
- Repo / Securities Financing
- Other capital markets products
What We're Looking For
- Approximately 3+ years of relevant experience in securities settlement, back-office operations or capital markets operations
- Strong understanding of the front-to-back trade lifecycle
- Experience with securities settlement and post-trade processes
- U.S. market experience is an asset; Canadian market settlement experience may also be considered
- Strong attention to detail and risk awareness
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working with multiple priorities and strict deadlines
- Confident communicator who can collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with FIS Phase 3, BNY systems, AccessEdge or similar platforms is an asset
- Experience with automation, process improvement or operational efficiency initiatives is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field is preferred
- French is an asset; English is required
