Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shingler to join our roofing team! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing shingles on residential and commercial buildings. Duties

- Install asphalt, wood, or composite shingles according to project specifications and safety standards
- Prepare roofing surfaces by removing old materials and inspecting underlying structures for damage
- Use hand tools such as hammers, nail guns, and utility knives to secure shingles properly
- Read and interpret blueprints or project plans to ensure accurate installation
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment to facilitate efficient workflow




- Apply caulking or sealants around flashing and joints to prevent leaks
- Conduct inspections during and after installation to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols

Skills

- Proficiency with hand tools used in roofing and construction tasks
- Previous construction or carpentry experience is highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety procedures
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Experience with caulking, sealing, and waterproofing methods
- Handyman skills that support versatile problem-solving on-site
