Responsibilities & Duties

- Ability to interpret drawings, work orders, fabrication processes, structural steel, materials, and other documentation associated with production.
- Strong mathematical capability and layout skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the standard methods, materials and equipment used in the fitting, structural steel trades.
- Knowledge and understanding of the operation of shop tools.
- Handle Materials – within the shop and outdoors as required.




- Operate Basic Hand Tools and Powered Hand Tools. i.e. Drills, Disc Grinders etc.
- Manually lifting weights between 20-50 lbs.
- Following all workplace safety policies and compliance regulations.
- Working in a fast-paced environment.
- Paying high attention to detail.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and examine work for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Willing to work overtime, day, afternoon and shift work as required and committed to doing what is necessary to ensure duties are completed.
- Proper precautions, housekeeping and safety upheld at all times.
- Performs related duties as required.

Qualification & Experience

- Red Seal Metal Fabricator (Fitter)
- Good attention to detail and results oriented
- Strong sense of teamwork.
- Valid Driver’s License

- At times it may be necessary to work outside of the regular work day in order to complete their duties.
- Fast-paced environment.
