JOB SUMMARY

Actalent is a global leader in engineering services and human capital solutions. We are current hiring Software/Hardware Lab Test Engineers to join our team, initially supporting one of our largest clients in the automotive industry.

The successful candidate will be part of the Test Automation & Tools Development team involved in the delivery of the latest automotive infotainment and connectivity technologies. You will support the development and maintenance of a fully automated pipeline that empowers hundreds of developers every day.

Your contribution will enable a large fleet of automation nodes to serve cross-functional development teams around the clock.

Location: Waterloo (Onsite)

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform automated test execution and results analysis, root cause issues and validate fixes.

· Monitor messaging platforms and provide timely support for development and other test teams.

· Ensure regular lab equipment maintenance including expansion as needed to maintain optimal operational performance.

· Support existing solutions with bug fixes and updates as needed.

· Develop automated test scripts and tools in Python to verify new feature functionality.

· Contribute to code quality by participating in code reviews.

· Interface with development and test teams to understand testing requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,



Engineering, or a related field.

· Professional experience with object-oriented analysis and design, multi-threading, algorithms, and data structures (co-op experience/schoolwork accepted).

· Professional experience in Python development (co-op experience / schoolwork accepted).

· Robust verbal and written communication skills.

· Analytical with the ability to root-cause problems creatively and effectively.

· Highly motivated, self-starter, resourceful.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) systems (ie: Jenkins).

· Experience with batch and shell scripting (Windows and Linux command line scripting).

· Experience with embedded OS (QNX, Linux).

· Experience with microcontrollers.

· Experience with automated testing environments and frameworks (ie: PyTest, unit testing, Slash).

· Experience with Groovy, Java development.

· Experience with automated GUI testing solutions (ie: Squish, Selenium).

· Experience with agile methodologies.

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
