Mira Productions is looking for a Sports Social Media Manager to support the social media operations and content distribution of a flag football–focused client throughout the Fall 2026 season.
This is a paid contract position running from September 23, 2026, through December 13, 2026.
The ideal candidate has experience managing social media, understands sports content and audience engagement, and is familiar with the flag football industry. This role is focused on publishing, scheduling, captions, announcements, and day-to-day social media operations. It is not a graphic design position.
Responsibilities
- Publish and schedule social media content across multiple platforms.
- Use pre-existing templates and provided materials for posts, stories, announcements, and other social media content.
- Input or update information within existing templates when announcements or content changes are required.
- Write explicit and engaging captions and descriptions in both English and French, adapted to each platform.
- Remain responsive to urgent or time-sensitive announcement requests, with an expected response time of approximately 20 minutes when required.
- Proactively identify relevant flag football news, updates, and stories that can be shared with the audience.
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule across platforms.
- Ensure all information, dates, announcements, and captions are accurate before publishing.
- Follow established branding, formatting, and communication guidelines.
Please note: Original graphic design or creative design work is not required. Visual templates and branding assets will be provided. Qualifications
- Previous experience in social media management, social media coordination, digital communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of the flag football industry is strongly preferred.
- General knowledge of sports and sports-related social media is an asset.
- Comfortable working with existing templates and entering or updating content as needed.
- Familiarity with Canva and/or Adobe Illustrator is an asset, primarily for working with pre-existing templates.
- Strong written communication skills in English and French.
- Comfortable managing multiple platforms, deadlines, and content requests.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable, responsive, and capable of working independently.
- Comfortable handling both scheduled content and unexpected or time-sensitive announcements.
