Job Overview (Location - Sault Ste. Marie, ON)

Pino's Get Fresh is seeking an experienced retail Store and Department Managers to oversee daily operations at our new Great Northern Rd. location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive retail industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for both customers and team members.

Previous experience in grocery store management, hospitality, or restaurant operations is required. Flexible availability is necessary, including evenings and weekends. Salaried position, with compensation negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Willing to assist with potential relocation expenses.

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and conducting interviews to build a high-performing team.
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring exceptional store conditions, product availability, employee scheduling and promotional activities
- Maintaining proper food handling protocols, department cleanliness and quality control in compliance with health regulations.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and fostering a welcoming environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed,



and manage stock rotation to minimize waste.
- Implement sales strategies to increase revenue while maintaining operational efficiency.

Skills

- Proven experience in retail or food service setting, with strong leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with POS systems and ability to learn and use operational software
- Extensive knowledge of retail operations and ability to execute store objectives
- Demonstrated team management skills including supervising staff, conducting interviews, and training new employees.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse client needs professionally.
- Ability to lead by example with a focus on high level retail industry standards and customer service excellence.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate between team members and ensure smooth operations across all departments.
