We are seeking a skilled and motivated Store Improvement & Installation Specialist to support the installation, maintenance, and improvement of fixtures and merchandising displays across our retail store locations.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for in-store fixture installations, including shelving, displays, cabinets, showcases, signage, and other store fixtures. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is comfortable using hand and power tools, working independently, and travelling to different store locations as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute in-store fixture installation and store improvement projects from start to finish
- Assemble and install retail fixtures, shelving, displays, cabinets, showcases, counters, and merchandising equipment
- Perform fixture repairs, adjustments, replacements, and maintenance as required
- Install and position signage, POP materials, displays, and other merchandising elements
- Perform basic cabling and equipment setup related to store fixtures and displays
- Measure, level, align, and securely install fixtures to ensure a clean and professional finished result
- Identify and resolve installation issues efficiently
- Safely operate hand and power tools and maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Follow installation plans, drawings, layouts, and instructions provided by the merchandising team
- Assist with general store improvement and maintenance tasks as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Travel to various Canada Computers store locations as required
- Work independently or collaboratively with team members to meet project timelines

Requirements:

- 1+ year of experience in fixture installation, renovation, construction, carpentry, retail installation, or similar hands-on work
- Experience assembling and installing fixtures, shelving, displays, cabinets, or similar equipment
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools
- Robust attention to detail, particularly with measurements, alignment, and finishing work




- Ability to read and follow installation instructions, drawings, layouts, and plans, which may be provided in English or Chinese
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to different store locations
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including frequent heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving fixtures and equipment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently and heavier items with assistance
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces
- Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence

Assets / Additional Qualifications

- Electrical or electrician experience/qualifications are considered a strong asset
- Experience with low-voltage cabling, security systems, or basic electrical installation
- Construction, carpentry, or general renovation experience
- Experience working in retail, commercial, or multi-location environments
- Experience with commercial fixture or merchandising installations
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical, cabling, or equipment-related issues
