We’re currently looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Calgary studio. Our structural engineers don't just focus on the design of framing elements, they are involved with the entire building, working as part of a collective team to develop building designs that respond to the needs of their occupants and the surrounding community. Act as a design engineer on a variety of building projects of various sizes and complexity.

Follow through all phases of projects from concept design through construction. Work closely with our integrated team of architects, interior designers, landscape architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, as well as other partner firms. Drive high technical quality in the delivery of design, model/drawing development, and through field review during the construction phase.

Manage projects while working under the supervision of senior engineers, and participate in project planning. Provide on-site field review during construction to confirm general conformance with the design documents. Review shop drawings, respond to requests for information, and provide contract administration support for your projects.





Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering is required; a post-graduate degree is preferred. ~You have the ability to obtain Government of Canada Security Clearance. ~ Located in, or willing to relocate to, Calgary. ~ Proficiency with Revit, ETABS, SAP200, SAFE, and other structural analysis software. ~ An articulate and persuasive communicator that can convey complex technical concepts to non-technical firm leaders, staff and clients. ~ Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines and multiple tasks/projects. ~ LEED, Green Globes, ENV SP (or other similar sustainability) certification is considered an asset. $Parental leave top-up programs for all parents upon the birth or adoption of a child, RRSP matching, competitive medical and dental benefits coverage upon the first day of employment, discounted memberships, encouraged work/life balance with gifted time off during the holiday season and Vacation Buy-Up program, and reimbursement for skilled memberships and dues are just a few of the benefits that DIALOGers enjoy.
