The Supervisor

Mechanical will guide daily operational activities, ensuring effective inspection, maintenance, and repair of railcars and locomotives. You will mentor a team of unionized employees, ensure adherence to safety standards, and participate in critical decision-making processes. This role also involves remote site supervision, making it essential for effective problem resolution. Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily operations and workflow in the mechanical shop
- Coordinate training for current staff and ongoing safety education
- Conduct inspections to meet productivity standards
- Lead investigations on safety incidents and compliance
- Manage resource allocation, including tools and equipment Requirements:
- 4+ years supervising mechanical teams in a related field
- Experience in railroad Mechanical Shopcraft
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualifications
- Valid Driver’s Licence
