Your Opportunity:
Description:
The Team Lead for Protective Services performs a team leadership role within the Protective Services department and reports directly to the Manager of Operations – Protective Services. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of the Protective Services Team in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The position is responsible and accountable for making unit-level decisions and having a leadership responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the goals of the Protective Services Department. The Team Lead for Protective Services will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications: Valid class 5 non-GDL driver's license. Currently have or able to attain and maintain a Community Peace Officer Level I designation within one year. Valid PARE. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a security role.
Ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity (healthcare experience an asset). Public speaking capabilities. Proven multi-tasking and effective decision-making abilities in a fast paced, stressful setting.
A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.

Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum two years of related work experience OR a related degree or diploma. Experience in uniformed public servant roles or emergency services (military, forestry, park ranger, corrections, peace officer). CPI Non-violent Crisis Intervention training and Pressure Point Control Tactic Certificates are also assets. Experience within a healthcare setting. Current First Aid and CPR Level C – AED certification.
