Job Overview:

This employee will be the lead for completing vehicle repairs, diagnosing vehicle situations, quality repair control and warranty part(s) installation. All training and required credentials must be maintained.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Team worker
- Maintain a ‘Skilled Image’ at all time with customers and co-workers
- Respect input from other sources
- Is responsible for conducting routine service, diagnosing and completing repair on customer and dealer vehicles
- Ability to clock on and clock off when on a repair
- Complete all detail-oriented paperwork, as required for correct charges and billable work
- Documents additional vehicle work that is required, regardless of the job at hand
- Works closely with the Service Advisor and Parts Department

Skill Set Required:

- Expert knowledge of GM vehicle systems and the latest repair techniques
- Completes effective corrective repairs with safety in mind
- Maintains all required technical certificates and training
- Does not complete work that he has no knowledge of, without seeking advice from the Service Management Team or Foreman
- Completes service and repairs in accordance with trained and established GM procedures
- Maintains a valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and the ability to be Insured outside of Facility Insurance




- Uses the computer to determine how long a given repair or service will take and keeps the Service Advisor and the Service Management Team abreast of repair progress
- Keeps up to date on the shop orientation and the tools required for repair or service
