TOTAL Transportation Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Travelling Machinery Rigger to join our specialized transportation and machinery-moving team.

This is a hands-on position involving the safe movement, rigging, positioning, and installation of heavy, sensitive, and high-value machinery and equipment at customer locations throughout Canada.

Located in Scarborough, ON., TOTAL Transportation Solutions Inc., is a specialized mover providing final mile, white glove moving services. With precisions, we handle customers goods including computers, electronics, sensitive machines, HVAC, high end medical systems such as CT, MRI and LINAC, fine arts and large sculptures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Rig, move, load, unload, position, and install machinery and specialized equipment.
- Operate forklifts, machinery skates, jacks, hoists, gantries, slings, shackles, chains, and other rigging equipment.
- Assess equipment weight, dimensions, centre of gravity, clearances, access conditions, and potential hazards.
- Select and inspect appropriate rigging equipment and machinery-moving methods.
- Protect customer equipment and facilities throughout each project.
- Assist with blocking, bracing, securing, and preparing equipment for transportation.
- Follow safe-work procedures, customer requirements, and company safety standards.
- Work closely with fellow drivers, helpers, supervisors, project managers, and customer representatives.

Qualifications:

- Previous machinery moving, industrial rigging, millwright, heavy equipment, or specialized transportation experience.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and knowledge of safe rigging practices.
- Experience handling heavy, sensitive, or high-value equipment.




- Forklift experience required; additional equipment certifications are considered assets.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record a must, AZ preferred.
- Dependable, safety-focused, and physically capable.
- Comfortable Supervising and/or working as part of a crew.

Travel Requirements: The main responsibility will be based in Scarborough, ON, however frequent travel throughout Canada is a core requirement of this position. Candidates must be prepared to stay away from home for multiple days or extended periods, and work flexible hours including weekdays and weekends, when projects require. Plenty of Overtime and Double-Time pay.
