Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented experienced Upholsterer to join our manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for transforming raw materials into finished upholstered products that meet quality standards and customer specifications. Your expertise in working with various tools, materials, and machinery will be essential to creating comfortable, durable, and aesthetically appealing furniture pieces.

Duties

- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Cut, sew, and assemble upholstery fabric and materials using hand tools and sewing machines to create custom furniture pieces. (Sewing not required, but hand sewing capabilities)
- Operate power tools, woodworking equipment.
- Measure and cut foam, batting, and fabric with precision using calipers and measuring tapes to ensure perfect fit and finish.
- Perform heavy lifting of furniture frames, cushions, and materials safely to facilitate assembly and upholstery tasks.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure upholstery meets design specifications and durability standards.




- Collaborate with team members on assembly processes, ensuring seamless integration of components into finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in the warehouse or manufacturing area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in upholstery work or related manufacturing roles involving furniture or construction projects.
- Skilled in woodworking, machining, and the use of hand tools such as staple guns, scissors, and sewing equipment.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to furniture construction or assembly processes.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Robust mechanical aptitude combined with construction experience enhances your effectiveness in this role.
