January 26, 2024 We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Senior Researcher within our Division of Imaging Science and Technology.
This is a fixed-term appointment for up to 5 years depending on availability of funds.
The successful candidate will work within the ScanDan/PIPaRD research group. This position is funded by the Neurii funded SCottish AI in Neuroimaging to predict Dementia and Neurodegenerative Disease (ScanDan) Grant. The ScanDan/PIPaRD research group is joint-funded by the ScanDan Grant and Prediction of Individual Risk of Dementia (PIPaRD) funding, which is a related MRC funded, 5-year PICTURES programme Grant, that has been running since 2019.
The work will develop quantitative predictors of future dementia risk for individual patients, using routinely acquired NHS brain scan data supplemented by genetics and clinical data where available.
You will be based at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, one of Europe’s largest teaching hospitals where the School of Medicine provides outstanding opportunities in medical education and training supported by world class research facilities.
