Valve Technician

We are currently seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Valve Technician to join our team. We operate a fast-paced manufacturing shop, and the successful candidate will assemble, disassemble, repair, and test valves and other products to support production requirements and fulfill internal and external customer orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, disassemble, inspect, repair, and test valves and related products.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify necessary repairs.
- Read and follow operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Safely operate shop equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes, within certification and training requirements.
- Move, organize, and handle materials throughout the shop.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company safety procedures and participate in toolbox meetings and other safety activities.
- Assist with other shop duties as required to meet production and customer needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Dependable, punctual, effective, and willing to learn.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions,
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to regularly lift and handle materials weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift, including standing, walking, grasping, carrying, and lifting.
Required Experience and Certifications:
- Oilfield valve repair experience, including disassembly, assembly, and testing of ANSI/API valves.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Overhead crane certification.
- Forklift certification.
- Previous participation in safety committees or toolbox meetings.
Additional Information:
- Fast-paced manufacturing shop with frequent exposure to noise, heat, and dust.
- Training on company-specific products and procedures will be provided.
- Overtime required when necessary.
Shift:
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday.
- 40 hours per week.
Compensation:
- Wage dependent on experience.
