The Opportunity The Vice President of Information Technology plays a critical role in aligning technology with business objectives. Reporting to the Chief Business Development & Corporate Affairs Officer, the senior leader oversees IT strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity and digital transformation efforts, ensuring cost effective solutions that enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement IT strategic roadmaps that support financial and business goals.
- Provide general project management oversight over the entire strategic roadmaps and project initiatives and providing consistent reporting and visibility on project timelines and projects to the Chief Business Development & Corporate Affairs Officer.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with the Executive team to optimize technology investments and cost management.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to strengthen partnerships across the organization.
- Position IT as a key stakeholder to deliver corporate strategy.
- Responsible for IT infrastructure, security and provision for disaster recovery. Maintain security for our client's proprietary data and provide for the complete backup of all systems.
- Accountable for the compliance of IT General Controls in line with guidelines for a public company.
- Ensure compliance with ICFR, SEC regulations and other financial regulations as well as best in class data security standards.
- Lead the IT team fostering innovation and operational excellence and responsiveness to the needs of the business.
- Manage IT budgets and vendor relationships in accordance with Company policies.
- Drive digital transformation and automation initiatives to improve business efficiency or effective operations.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for financial and operational impact including AI solutions compliant with the cybersecurity workplace.




- Support financial reporting and analytics through advanced IT solutions.
- Report on a quarterly basis to the Board of Directors on the compliance of the Cybersecurity program and other initiatives on the IT strategic roadmap.
- Strong cross functional correspondence and an operational mindset to execute in a timely, and expeditious manner to unlock business momentum and improve operations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- 10-15 years of progressive IT experience
- 5-10 years of IT leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Technology Management, or a related field is required.
- PMP certification is an asset.
- Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and enterprise financial systems
- Experience managing IT budgets
- Experience managing shadow IT
- Excellent leadership, communication and strategic IT planning skills
- Ability to lead and motivate teams
- Strong project management skills
- Strong change management and organizational transformation capabilities
- Proven track record managing technology budgets, vendors, and complex projects
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing enterprise technology strategies

This is a full-time, remote-first position based out of Ontario.
