Advanced Basement Systems is seeking a agile and highly organized Warehouse and Fleet Supervisor to lead in maintaining our warehouse, inventory, grounds/building maintenance, fleet maintenance schedule and assist in the product ordering process. Handy-work around the offices and working with tools to do basic repairs.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse needs such as watching product levels, assisting construction crews in loading trucks in the morning, general tidying/cleaning and organization and unloading/putting away orders with forklift.
- Oversee fleet, including vehicle maintenance coordination, and compliance with safety regulations. Ensuring monthly log books are distributed and handed in. Keeping product inventory on trucks at advised amounts.
- Using a computer to order and log certain items. Communicating with A/P regarding large orders.
- Ensuring a forecast of upcoming jobs is occurring and that products are ordered and ready in-warehouse for crews on the morning of their jobs.
- Oversee the use of forklift operations to ensure safety and efficiency in heavy lifting tasks.
- Maintain the building and grounds. Occasional odd-jobs around the shop, litter control,
dumpster pick-up coordination, tool maintenance/repair and vehicle washing as-needed.
Skills
- Previous forklift experience is required; you will need to operate safely in tight quarters. If you are not certified but do have past-experience, we can certify you.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Basic understanding and usage in computer/Windows operating systems. Understanding Microsoft Excel is a plus.
- Fluent in English is required. Strong communication skills are essential for team coordination and customer service.
- Strong analysis skills for inventory control and ordering.
- Experience working with heavy lifting equipment and ensuring safety compliance.
Employment is under a 1-year contract with intent for permanent employment thereafter, starting with a 3-month probationary period. A wage increase is subject to review after said 3-months. Pay: From $24.75 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
