The Warehouse
Associate will be working within a high-volume warehouse environment, while safely providing various warehouse services with general supervision following all established procedures and guidelines (SOP’s). This role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and responsibilities for this position include order picking, staging, packing, shipping, product replenishing, receiving, putting away materials and when required, driving the reach truck. In addition, the Warehouse Associate, along with the entire Operations Team, supports a culture of GMP compliance, continuous improvement, and safety in a team environment.
This position will be based out of our Coquitlam Distribution Center (DC) and operate in a full-time capacity onsite. Accurately receives and stores materials according to facility specifications and GMP requirements.
Performs replenishment of pick locations.
Lifts and stacks materials onto pallets and secures for movement. Puts away and transports materials using various material handling equipment. Applies shipping labels to cases and pallets. Loads and unloads trailers.
Performs general housekeeping duties, to always keep the work area clean. Follows all established safety procedures and uses proper Personal Protective Equipment, as required. Achieves and maintains established KPI’s for the area (picking, receiving, putting away, replenishing and inventory/quality accuracy).
Picks and stages orders for contract manufacturers in a timely manner. Overtime may occasionally be required. Must have performed in a Material Requirement Planning (MRP) environment and understand warehouse requirements, supporting a fast paced, pick/pack operation.
General computer knowledge, including Word and Excel is required. Prior experience with SAP. Minimum of 2+ years of recent experience operating a reach truck and counterbalance forklift required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and a minimum of 1-year related experience in a high-volume WMS/RF distribution setting preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is required. Ability to write routine reports and to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from associates, customers, freight service providers, and management.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. May be required to structure algorithms at times for reporting and programming for simulation. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
