Lancashire Distribution, a wholesale building material supplier to the cabinet industry and retail lumber yards, is looking for a warehouse associate that can do part time deliveries as well. The ideal candidate will possess wide ranging skills in material handling and be able to adapt to constant changes in their work environment. Self motivation a great attitude, work ethic and customer service are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

Load/ unload trucks of finish material by forklift while exercising attention to detail to avoid damage to product.

Safely operate forklifts with carrying capacity of 6000 lbs, forklift training will be provided if required.

Manually stage sheet positive, laminate, hardware and lumber orders

Complete weigh bills and fill out shipping documents accurately

Accurately ship and receive incoming and outgoing freight.

Accurately product code incoming freight

Participate in regularly scheduled cycle counts

Be able to drive a 5-Ton delivery truck sometimes to deliver customer orders,



load and unload that delivery truck

Requirements

Minimum of 1-2 years in a warehouse environment, building material experience an asset

Able to lift 50 lbs by hand is required

Must be reliable and punctual and wear ppe as required by company policy manual

Excellent communication and numeracy skills required

Position details

Regular hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm (some overtime may be required)

Compensation dependant on candidates experience and qualifications

Benefit package available to qualified candidates after successful completion or mandatory probation period.
