We are a busy transportation company specializing in LTL freight and the handling of big and bulky products. Our Edmonton operation supports inbound and outbound freight movement, cross-dock activity, staging, loading, and system-driven shipment updates. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead our night shift team and help ensure freight moves safely, accurately, and on time.

Position Summary The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing the night team in a fast-paced LTL transportation environment. This role oversees inbound and outbound shipments, product handling, trailer loading and unloading, freight staging, system updates, safety compliance, and daily shift execution. The successful candidate will be a strong floor leader who can keep the team organized, hold employees accountable, and maintain a safe and productive warehouse operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach, and support the night warehouse team to ensure daily priorities are completed safely and efficiently.
- Manage inbound and outbound LTL shipments, including receiving, unloading, staging, loading, and trailer readiness.
- Ensure big and bulky products are handled safely to prevent damage to products, equipment, property, and team members.
- Verify freight counts, labels, paperwork, manifests, and shipment details before freight leaves the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate system updates for received freight, staged freight, outbound shipments, exceptions, damages, shortages, and order status changes.
- Coordinate with dispatch, transportation, customer service, and other terminals to support service commitments and resolve freight issues.
- Monitor dock flow, warehouse organization, trailer loading sequence, and staging areas to support timely outbound departures.
- Ensure all employees follow company SOPs, health and safety requirements, PPE expectations,



and safe material handling procedures.
- Complete shift handoffs, communicate outstanding issues, and document any operational concerns for the next shift or management team.
- Identify process gaps, freight handling concerns, system issues, or staffing challenges and escalate them with recommended solutions.

Qualifications and Experience
- Previous warehouse supervisory, lead hand, or logistics leadership experience is preferred.
- Experience in LTL transportation, cross-dock, warehousing, or freight handling is considered an asset.
- Experience handling large, heavy, or bulky products such as furniture, appliances, mattresses, or similar freight is preferred.
- Comfortable using warehouse systems, transportation systems, scanners, email, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Robust understanding of safe lifting, loading, staging, product protection, and damage prevention practices.
- Forklift, pallet jack, clamp truck, or material handling equipment experience is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work Sunday to Thursday from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM on a consistent basis.S

Working Conditions

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
