Part-Time Deli Clerk

Giancarlo Italian Deli – Coquitlam, BC

Giancarlo Italian Deli is looking for a friendly, energetic Part-Time Deli Clerk to join our team. If you have experience working behind a deli counter, operating a meat slicer, making fresh sandwiches, or preparing catering platters, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced Italian deli where quality, customer service, and attention to detail matter.

What You'll Do

- Slice deli meats and cheeses safely and accurately.
- Prepare fresh sandwiches, paninis, soups, and lunch items.
- Create and package catering platters.
- Serve customers with friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Stock and rotate products.
- Maintain a clean and organized deli and prep area.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist with general deli and retail duties as needed.

Priority Qualifications

We're giving priority to candidates with experience in:

- Meat and cheese slicing
- Sandwich preparation
- Catering platter assembly
- Italian deli or specialty food environments
- Food Safe certification (an asset)

- Flexible weekday and weekend availability preferred.
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
