This position is full-time, in plant, days, with OT often available. High variety, one-off tooling and fabrications for automated assembly machines.

Minimum 3 years fitting experience required.

Primary Duties

- Accurate fitting of small to mid-sized weldments in steel (90%), aluminum, stainless, plate and thin-gauge materials (10%)
- Welding above using mainly MIG (95%), some Stick and TIG (5%)
- Material cut-off, prep, deburring and clean-up using band saw, drill press, grinders, shear, brake, press, hand tools
- Read drawings, prints and specs
- Planning complex weldments and pre-machining
- Choose weld size, type, based on materials, part function

Education Required

- Skilled Trades Certification as Welder-Fitter an asset

Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

- CWB Certification preferred but not required
- Crane/hoist and lift truck certifications (training can be provided)
- Brazing
- Machining
- Plasma Cutting

Other Requirements:

- Competency in English (both verbal and written)
- Good teamwork skills




- Able to work overtime as required
