This position, available from September 2026 to June 2027, involves working with students in Northern Alberta’s priority neighborhoods. You'll deliver exciting percussion lessons and collaborate with peers to enrich the learning experience. Your role includes visiting Alexander First Nation and fostering deep, meaningful relationships within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct groups of 20 students in percussion weekly
• Facilitate student rehearsals and community concerts
• Manage academic support and supervise snack breaks




• Team up with colleagues to enhance student outcomes
• Promote equity and inclusion based on YONA values
Requirements:
• Strong percussion expertise and teaching experienced
• Degree in music performance or education preferred
• Knowledge of the El Sistema philosophy
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and community engagement
• Organized with a focused, detail-oriented approach
