Join the YMCA as a full-time Youth Support Worker, contributing to youth development in a hybrid work environment in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Lead life skills training and community outreach programs.
In this role, you will support vulnerable youth as they navigate significant academic transitions, providing guidance and resources needed for their growth. You will collaborate on individualized plans, deliver workshops, and network with community partners to strengthen program outcomes. Flexibility is essential, as this position may require evening or weekend work to accommodate youth needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect and assess youth eligibility and case information • Collaborate on Individual Action Plans for youth • Facilitate and develop engaging workshops • Manage cases according to program guidelines • Consult with families and professionals for support
Requirements: • Degree/diploma in Child and Youth Care or related • 2+ years of youth-focused experience • Certifications in First Aid and Crisis Intervention • Understanding of social determinants of health • Reliable vehicle for community outreach
