Contribute to youth development as a Child Care Support Worker with the Manitoba government in Winnipeg. Provide essential support in a safe and secure setting for children and teens.
In this full-time role, you'll be responsible for caring for children and teens in emergency placements. Your key tasks will include supervising daily activities, assisting with personal care, and resolving conflicts. This position requires a deep understanding of child development and behavior, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide quality care and support to children in shelter
• Encourage healthy emotional and social development
• Supervise daily routines and resolve conflicts among children
• Assist children with personal hygiene and care needs
• Organize and schedule recreational activities and routines
Requirements:
• Experience working with children as a supportive role model
• Knowledge of child development principles and effects of abuse
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to assess risk and mitigate situations
• Must pass background checks and provide certifications
