Domain required: Utilities / Energy - specifically Electricity / Power Utilities Position Overview Seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multiple technology and business initiatives within a regulated setting. The role requires strong expertise in project governance, stakeholder management, budgeting, resource planning, risk management, and application enhancement roadmaps.
Must-Have Requirements
15+ years of hands-on Project Management experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
Strong experience with Waterfall and Hybrid-Agile methodologies.
Experience managing budgets, forecasting, resources, risks, and multiple concurrent projects.
Hands-on Azure DevOps Boards experience as a Product Manager and Scrum Master.
Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating SOWs.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project documentation, including charters, change requests, status reports, and risk registers.
Must be located in/near Calgary, AB and available onsite at least 2 days/week.
Preferred
Experience in a regulated industry.
Utilities/Energy industry experience strongly preferred.
Experience with electricity transmission,
grid access, or power-sector initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead projects from initiation through closure.
Define scope, objectives, schedules, resources, budgets, and governance.
Manage stakeholders, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resources.
Provide executive-level status reporting and risk updates.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors.
Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Conduct project closeout, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
