Become an HVAC Mechanic with BCIT’s Campus Planning and Facilities team. This full-time role involves maintaining HVAC systems, ensuring top performance through proactive and emergency repairs.
In this role, you will execute breakdown maintenance, troubleshoot complex HVAC systems, and participate in the Preventative Maintenance Plan to uphold safety standards. Collaborating with diverse teams and managing contractor work will also be essential aspects of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Address emergency calls and implement immediate solutions
• Prepare and manage work orders for HVAC repair work
• Conduct preventative maintenance on interconnected systems
• Advise on improvement suggestions for projects
• Keep abreast of safety standards and regulations
Requirements:
• Valid Trades Qualification or Interprovincial Trades Ticket required
• At least two years of general trades and four years HVAC experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical control systems needed
• Ability to manage complex troubleshooting independently
• Communication skills to address client concerns
