As a Wellness Worker, you will support clients in their healing journey while enforcing community guidelines. You will leverage your skills in trauma-informed care, emotional support, and crisis intervention to promote wellbeing among participants. This position plays a crucial role in delivering effective Inuit-specific programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure trauma-informed supervision and support for clients
• Facilitate mutual respect and conflict resolution
• Assist with maintenance and safety of communal areas
• Document observations and client behaviors accurately
• Promote culturally relevant activities and group discussions
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Preferred degree in Human Relations or Social Work
• Understanding of mental health and substance use challenges
• Proficiency in documentation and communication
• Experience with culturally sensitive practices is a plus
